Strain Descriptions

We have given all the strains we sell a similar description format to help you in comparing them and making the right choice.  Our descriptions may sometimes vary slightly from that of the breeder for legal reasons or to be more informational and less promotional.

Genetics:

Where possible we provide information as to the genetics of the strain as this (along with external growth conditions e.g. light, water, nutrients and Co2) will influence how the plant grows and its potential.

A 'x' used between names indicates a direct cross.

Whereas a '/' indicates that the genetics have been used in the resulting strain but in a way we are unsure of.

AKA (Also known As):

Many strains have the same genetics but are sold by different seed companies under other names, we have tried to indicate to you which these are.

However they will not always grow the same due to differences in the phenotypes of certain strains and their breeders.

Variety:

Strains may be sativa, indica or ruderalis or a combination of the three.

Where possible we have indicated the amounts of each.

If they are a combination where levels have not been announced we have put the variety we beleive the strain to exhibit more characteristics of first.

In General the differences of these varieties are:

Sativa - (the ganja variety) is a large “pine-tree like” plant with light green foliage. It is indigenous to Mexico, Columbia, Thailand, India, and Africa.

Indica -  (the hashish variety- see below left), on the other hand, is a smaller plant with wide, dark green foliage. It matures earlier and produces more potent, fatter, resinous flowers. Cannabis indica is indigenous to the high northern mountain ranges of the Afghani Hindu Kush, Pakistani Kara Korams, Russian Pamirs and Indian Himalayas.

Ruderalis - a variety thought to originate in Russia.  It generally has lower THC levels and grows differently to sativa and indica strains because it flowers according to age rather than photoperiod (light hours).

Type:

We have indicated the type of strain under four principal classifications:

Pure-bred, Land Race strains - those created in the wild by nature.

Stabilised hybrids, IBLs - hybrid strains that have been stabilised by the breeders over time and should if crossed with the same strain produce near identical offspring.

f1 Hybrids - strains created by crossing two different Land Race strains or IBLs - these have a slightly wider gene pool and exhibit hybrid vigour.

Hybrids - strains where the breeder has given no information as to whether they are IBLs, f1 hybrids or, when they might be, f2 hybrids or f3 etc.  f2 hybrids and further have diverse gene pools and may grow very differently to seeds from the same batch, they do not exhibit such vigour as f1 hybrids.

Harvest Date:

The date one could expect the strain to be ready for harvest outdoors.  This has been based on a similar latitude and conditions to The Netherlands.

Flowering Period:

The time a plant takes from the start of flowering until it is ready to harvest.  These times are based on indoor cultivation.

THC Content:

The amount of Tetrahydrocannabinol contained in the dried, manicured buds.

No. of Seeds Per Packet:

As stated.

Characteristics:

A general snapshot of the strain that we feel is one of its more important characteristics.
